Thats one way but I would never do it like that. Use your grid...that's what it's there for. Turn on your grid and set your grid to .125 or whatever you want, delete your scenes from your drawing and drop them from your available scenes. That way you will have your reference point preselected. It's way easier that way.
I also don't use ID tags inside my scene because of this misalignment. Because you did it that way now those are not aligned. Setup a title block so your ID tags are automatic.

It seems there are about as many ways to do things in Cabinet Vision as there are Cabinet Vision users. It just all depends on individual learning styles, work flows, preferred techniques and personal preferences. And thank you for sharing your technique.

The big "take away" from this video, in my opinion, isn't so much about how I line up objects as it is about the process of moving objects and placing them exactly where you want them to be.

There are countless use cases for aligning objects that don't conveniently fall on grid lines. And in those cases where grid lines aren't useful for alignment, the technique of clicking once, dragging, and then clicking again when you want to complete your move, is an absolute "must know".
