I use Report Groups to keep all my reports organized by the departments in my business. This helps me send reports to those departments that need only specific reports. And it helps keep my reports organized so I don't spend time searching for a specific report.

For example, I created report groups for each of these departments... Purchasing, Assembly, Shipping, Staging, Customer Service, Milling, Door Department, Estimating, and Engineering.

In each departmental Report Group, I selected sets of reports that are important and necessary for that department. For example, our Purchasing department needs to have the Material Summary w/Kits ( Grouped ) report and they need the custom buyout door report for CalDoor.

One of my personal "best practices" is that when I print anything from Cabinet Vision, I always print to a pdf file instead of sending reports directly to the printer. And I send the pdf print files to the appropriate job folder or estimate folder.

In this video I share some of my most commonly used Combit functions along with brief explanations of why I use them or why you might care to.

Thanks to one of the attendees asking questions during the stream we ended up working through a somewhat interesting and fun exercise extracting information about a material's thickness (0750) from a string, converting it to a fraction with 1/16" precision, and replacing the original abbreviated material name with one a little easier to understand if you aren't in our industry.

IIF door.hinge. Need to learn SQL or from is there any coding to be learnt. or from parts we will het these ideas. Request you to give training regarding this. I have already posted in LInkedin also. Pls help me sir.
